Certification, Licensure and CE Requirements
Most Wyoming speech-language pathologists and audiologists are certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
To maintain ASHA certification, Wyoming certificate holders (CCC-A and CCC-SLP) accumulate 30 hours of professional development during each 3-year certification maintenance interval.
Many Wyoming audiologists are members of the American Academy of Audiology, an organization that provides professional development opportunities for its members.
Speech-language pathologists and audiologists who work in public schools may obtain either Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) certification or Wyoming Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology Licensure.
Speech-language pathologists and audiologists who work in settings other than public schools are licensed through the Wyoming Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology.
