WyoSHA has partnered with the Literacy and Learning Conference
June 18-20 and 25-26, 2024
We are excited to announce that WyoSHA will be partnering with the Embracing Literacy Conference to provide you with meaningful CEU opportunities that align with the Wyoming Department of Education! This June, you can attend the Embracing Literacy Conference for only $189 for in-person AND virtual meetings – 5 full days! – or you can attend for $25 to do the synchronous virtual days only. The conference will be in Laramie at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center where we hosted our WyoSHA Conference last year. We would LOVE to put together a joint event with WyoSHA and NSSLHA if there is interest – potentially even a journal club with another ASHA CEU opportunity! The information and registration about the conference are available here: https://edu.wyoming.gov/educators/conferences/embracing-literacy/
Presentations by SLP faculty and students include those by Dr. Amy Peterson in the adolescent track and Dr. Doug Petersen and Alisa Konishi-Therkildsen in the elementary track. We would love to have a big showing of SLPs at this conference because we know language and literacy go hand in hand. Help us represent the profession and share our knowledge with the educators in the state!
The in-person events are scheduled for June 18-20 with virtual events June 25-26. Be sure to check SLP/SLPA on the registration form so that we can submit your ASHA CEUs for the event! Check out the flyer here:

The price of this conference is *stellar* and it’s certainly one you don’t want to miss with a star-studded line-up of presenters. For $25, you can earn 2 full days worth of CEUs! Tell your friends to join you and share the fun! Non-WyoSHA members will not be able to have ASHA CEUs submitted, but you can then encourage them to join our organization to be sure their learning counts. 😉 Please email Amy at wyoshapresident@gmail.com with any questions.
